Our eco-responsible commitment
At Mahala Essence, we work with two exceptional fabric manufacturers who ensure that we manufacture superior quality products that respect the environment.
One of them is French and manufactures our fabrics for leggings, bras and shorty.
The second one is Japanese, it weaves our cottons for sweatshirts and tee-shirts.
These two manufacturers have environmental requirements both in their organisation and in their production.
The first is 100% made in France
It is very committed to the preservation of the environment; this takes the form of air and water effluent treatment.
They try to keep carbon emissions low throughout the manufacturing process.
They have chosen a production technology with very low energy consumption: ECO CONCEPT.
They are concerned about their choice of materials and their production cycles.
They weave, dye, knit, laminate… their production on neighbouring industrial sites.
The second Japanese one, pure wonder!
They are members of “BETTER COTTON”.
They have been choosing SLOW VINTAGE for years, using TSURI knitting machines manufactured more than 100 years ago.
They have developed organic cotton even before environmental considerations.
They produce 100% organic cotton but also permanently blended organic cotton.
They use the “fallen cotton” which occurs when the yarn has been spun and the cotton re-sorted.
Our sweaters are made from this cotton (an exceptional yarn) which is why the touch is unique and long-lasting!
Concerning the assembly of the fabrics they are assembled and made in Portugal.
In quality factories, respectful of labour rights, which comply with the quality charters, with a proactive organisation and a concrete investment in favour of sustainable development.
